Stand for Alto Saxophone 

It goes this way, it goes that way.....this stand allows you to mount your sax in a whole range of positions, and still keep it perfectly safe from a whole lot of trouble at ground level! It has no moving parts, but the lower valves on your sax must be to the right, please check the specs below. Its frame is fully covered with our special high friction rubber compound and is well finished overall, we made sure of that.

 Its presence will inspire you, the sheer sight will entice you! You'll play more than you would keeping it in the case, that's for sure !  Saves space and prevents accidents, frustration, stress, and repair bills! Beats all the dust collecting!

Specs:

Distance between bell support and lower bracket is set at 8 cm or 3 inches. All stands are tested on a basic alto sax and that position will avoid any obstacles.

If need be, the upper and lower bracket can be slightly adjusted by hand to obtain a perfect fit. By hand only please, and before you mount it!!

Mounting instructions

First, please try to ‘fit’ the stand onto your saxophone before you mount it. Check if any parts are interfering. 

As it is right now it will fit most alto’s nicely, but there are always exceptions to the rule. 

If it doesn’t fit into the top and/or  bottom bracket as snug as you would like, you may gently adjust them a little by hand. Do not put in a vice or use tools on it since that could damage the stand.

Furthermore you can decide how you want your saxophone to be positioned on the wall, that's the big perk of the Pony Boy stand!

You can hold it up against the wall with your instrument in it in the preferred position, have someone else mark the holes and mount the stand accordingly. So some assistance comes in handy!

Especially with drywall it is of utmost importance to find a spot that offers solid footing for the screws, and has a stud or beam directly behind it. For stone walls you will have to drill holes  with a 5 mm or 3/16 inch drill bit and insert the wallplugs and screws. The little caps are to cover the screws. Put hem on the tip of your forefinger and place them over the screw’s head. Then, with a twisting movement of your finger feel for their proper position over the slot, then just push them in. Use some glue if all else fails.

If you use a cordless drill for the screws, make sure its chuck doesn’t damage the stand.

If for some reason you are not sure how or where to mount it, please contact us or get some professional help!  

To keep the rubber in good shape you could put a little silicone spray on a soft cloth and give it a gentle rub.

Care Instructions

To keep the rubber in good shape you could occasionally rub it with a dash of silicone spray and a microfibre cloth. This also keeps its color dark and lush.
