Specs:

As you can see in the pics, the bow-support can be put in three positions. Just in case a valve guard is in the way. If you want to check : it is adjustable from 4 to 5.5 inches or 11 to 14.5 cm measured from the bottom of the upper bracket. The latter has a 6 mm. steel core welded firmly on the saxstand's body. For padding we used a special high friction rubber tubing, firmly resisting any movement your saxophone may want to make. Put it in straight, it will stay that way It has a firm grip on your precious sax. Distance from the centre of the stand to the wall is 9 cm or 3.5 inches in case you want to check. The round wall plate has a thickness of 3 mm. and the same number of holes for solid mounting. Wallplugs, screws, are supplied as usual, as well as black screw covers for that finishing touch!

Mounting Instructions

First, please check if the bow support of the stand doesn’t interfere with any of the protection brackets on your sax when properly placed into the padded fork. As it is right now it will fit most curved soprano’s nicely, but you can simply move the bow support in a lower or higher position. The bow support may also be helpful to slightly to alter the angle of your instrument after the stand is mounted.

Furthermore you should decide where you want your instrument to be mounted. You could hold it up in front of the wall with your instrument in it in the preferred position, and have someone else mark the holes and mount the stand accordingly.

I strongly suggest to mount the stand so, that the main body of your sax is positioned between the 1 and 7 on a clock face, but certainly less angled than between 2 and 8! I recommend to put one screw in first, and re-check the angle before putting in the other two.

Especially with drywall it is of utmost importance to find a spot that offers solid footing for the screws, and has a stud or beam directly behind it. For stone walls you will have to drill holes with a ¼ inch drill bit and insert the wall plugs and screws. The little caps are to cover the screws. Put hem on the tip of your forefinger and place them over the screw’s head. Then, with a twisting movement of your finger feel for their proper position over the slot, then just push them in. Use some glue if all else fails.
If you use a cordless drill for the screws, make sure its chuck doesn’t damage the coating.
If for some reason you are not sure how or where to mount it, please contact us or get some professional help!

To keep the rubber in good shape you could occasionally put a little bit of silicone spray on a soft cloth and give it a gentle rub.

Materials

Fine steel and high friction rubber, industrial plastic knob and finishing caps.

Care Instructions

To keep the rubber in good shape you could occasionally rub it with a dash of silicone spray and a soft cloth. This also keeps its color dark and lush.
