Stand for Tenor Saxophone

This beauty fits tenor saxophones perfectly and is constructed from solid steel. The upper bracket is welded on at the perfect angle. Adjustable by hand to obtain a perfect fit. Mounted at a comfortable height, it is very easy to lift your sax out by the bell and hook it to your neck strap. Simple, quick access without touching the mechanics. Just slip on your mouthpiece, and off you go!

Having it on the wall and ready for action, makes you play more and practice more! The only way to progress! Side-effects: saves space and prevents damage , stress, and repair bills! Matching designs available for curved soprano, alto, and bari !

Specs:

Its bow support is adjustable over 13 to 20 cm or 5 to 8 inches measured from the center of the upper bracket. This has proven to be an ideal distance for most tenor saxophones to avoid valves and other parts. For the padding we chose a high-friction compound rubber tubing. It keeps a firm grip on any polished metal surface. The upper bracket has a 6 mm. steel core welded firmly on the saxstand's body. Don't be afraid to bend it a little to get a perfect fit, but only by hand ! The round wall plate has a thickness of 3 mm. and the same number of holes for solid mounting. Wallplugs, screws, are supplied as usual, as well as black screw covers for that finishing touch!

Mounting instructions

First, please check if the bell of your saxophone fits properly into the padded fork. As it is right now it will fit most Tenors nicely, but there are always exceptions to the rule.
If it doesn’t lower into the top bracket fully, you can gently pull it apart a little by hand. Do not put in a vice or use tools on it since that could damage the stand.

Furthermore you should decide how you want your instrument to ‘sit’ in it. You could hold it up in front of the wall with your instrument in it in the preferred position, have someone else mark the holes and mount the stand accordingly.
The bow support is adjustable to keep it from interfering with keys or protection brackets of course, but may also be used to slightly alter the angle of your instrument once the stand is mounted.

Especially with drywall it is of utmost importance to find a spot that offers solid footing for the screws, and has a stud or beam directly behind it. For stone walls you will have to drill holes with a maximum ¼ inch drill bit and insert the wallplugs and screws. The little caps are to cover the screws. Put hem on the tip of your forefinger and place them over the screw’s head. Then, with a twisting movement of your finger feel for their proper position over the slot, then just push them in. Use some glue if all else fails.
If you use a cordless drill for the screws, make sure its chuck doesn’t damage the coating.

If for some reason you are not sure how or where to mount it, please contact us or get some professional help!

To keep the rubber in good shape you could occasionally put a little bit of silicone spray on a soft cloth and give it a gentle rub.

Materials

Fine steel and high friction rubber, plastic knob and finishing caps.

Care Instructions

To keep the rubber in good shape you could occasionally rub it with a dash of silicone spray and a microfibre cloth. This also keeps its color dark and lush.
